Module Profiles allow standardization of PV module technical and cost data across multiple projects within a company and also simplify the entry of this data within each project. Module Profiles allow users to create, save and edit PV module data. Technical data for PV modules may be selected and loaded into a module profile via the CEC Module database or may be entered by the user.
Note – Module price may be overridden within the project in which the module is loaded. However the technical aspects of the module may only be edited from within the module profile.
Create a New Module Profile:
Step 1: Go to Your Account and select Module Profiles.
Step 2: Click on + Create Module Profile.
Step 3: Enter a Profile Name for the Module Profile. This will be the name that is displayed within the project interface and displayed within reports.
Step 4: Select the Module Source, either CEC Database or User Defined.
Step 5: Choose or enter the Module Manufacturer and Model Number.
Step 6: Enter the Module technical data and cost. Note that these fields will change depending on the Module source (CEC Database or User Defined).
Step 7: Click Save Profile.
Edit an Existing Module Profile:
Step 1: Go to Your Account and select Module Profiles.
Step 2: Find and Select the Module Profile you wish to edit from the Module Profile list.
Step 3: Click Edit and proceed to edit the technical and cost fields as needed.
Step 4: When finished editing, click Save Profile.
Note – If a module is loaded within a project and edits are made to module characteristics, these edits will not take effect within the project until the module is reloaded within the project.
Delete an Existing Module Profile:
Step 1: Go to Your Account and select Module Profiles.
Step 2: Find the Module Profile you wish to delete from the Module Profile List.
Step 3: Click Remove to delete the profile.
